Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the tourism industry by enabling automation, personalization, and improved decision-making. With the growth of digital technologies and big data, tourism organizations increasingly rely on AI-powered tools such as chatbots, recommendation systems, predictive analytics, and smart service platforms to enhance the travel experience. AI helps tourism providers analyze customer behavior, deliver personalized travel recommendations, manage resources efficiently, and improve operational performance. This paper explores the applications, benefits, and challenges of AI in the tourism sector. It also discusses emerging technologies such as virtual assistants, virtual reality, and smart destination management systems. The findings indicate that AI contributes significantly to customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and innovation in tourism services. However, challenges such as data privacy concerns, technological dependency, and high implementation costs remain significant issues. The study concludes that AI will continue to play a critical role in shaping the future of tourism by enabling smarter, more sustainable, and personalized travel experiences.
